Nuance Delivery 4: Correcting Our Aim

Having trouble with the video editing software to get Oluu Orga's excellent video-bio on his years in Agbogbloshie up for view.  I had been using Picasa for the previous videos I edited. Alphabet (Google) is kind of the popular boyfriend/girlfriend that only dates you for a couple of years and then loses interest... Love their free products but they wind up dropping support and pulling the plug-ins.

While I keep working on it, I'm also getting ready to receive a bunch of African Fair Trade Recycling members. Wahab "Ghana Tech" is arriving in Boston. Emmanuel Nyaletey arrives tomorrow from Georgia Tech. Evans Quaye of Accra is networking in South Africa.  Web Element is completing their Fair Trade Recycling Waste Offset (re-export) paperwork at Ghana EPA. Our newest Fair Trade Recycling staffer, John Sumani of Wa (far Northwest), a Ph.D in environmental studies, has a good network at Ghana EPA. The Techs of Chendiba Enterprises check in politely now and then. And the "three musketeers of Agbo", Awal, Yaro and Razak, have their Whatsapp credits ready to spend (at all hours of day and night).

Note:   I updated this post from last year, because Jim Puckett has twice accused me of mudslinging in the past week, and I saw the link to the Chicago Patch article was gone.  JUST the one article is missing, by the way, the one where BAN insults me personally.   I didn't mean to raise it to a new publication date.  But not sure how to put it back onto last year.

My company has repeatedly been accused of being "an exporter" by companies which "don't export".  If you don't marry, how could you possibly be guilty of spouse abuse?  This is the logic established by companies like GARB, which posted to our Youtube video over the weekend

"GARB has the solution to the ewaste problem. The closed cycle principle.  A must see." 

As required, I came, I saw it.  Hammermills grinding and chopping computers into little pieces that are then hand sorted by labor on an assembly line.   It's "the solution" if you are looking for two things:  elimination of screwdriver labor, and elimination of reuse.  Yum yum.  I feel so much better about mining lead, silver, and tin for my new Tablet or 80 inch video display.  Having people pick up chopped pieces is SO much better than removing screws and sorting the same metals and parts, with some reuse.
